Humble Beginnings...

Design Craft Upholstery is a family owned and operated business that was founded in 1976. The techniques and skills are generational and passed down from father to son in the Kaas family. Allan and Shelley Kaas have provided upholstery repair and reupholstering services in the same location for the past 47 years, and the time has come to expand their architectural expertise in retail display development and custom seating for businesses and corporations nationwide. 

The collaboration with www.hoglunds.com has allowed Design Craft Upholstery to service the growing need for custom upholstery within the region, while also shifting our primary focus into the commercial manufacturing sector.

Similar to Design Craft Upholstery, Hoglund’s Top Shop, Inc. was founded by Oscar Hoglund in 1964, specializing in custom upholstery for classic cars. Oscar took a chance on a teenage kid who had a passion for cars and passed down the secrets of the trade to him at the age of 15.

Now for the past 33 years David Hamack has taken Hoglunds and expanded within the automotive, marine, and commercial industry to bring an elite team of experienced technicians, upholsterers, and service advisors to make your custom job a reality.
